Is the ASUS ROG Strix G16CH worth it?

It is a reasonable pick if you want a liquid-cooled, upgrade-friendly gaming tower with a strong 16-core CPU and don't need DDR5. Compare the exact GPU and price against similarly specced rivals before deciding.

Can I upgrade the graphics card later?

Yes. The 750W power supply and mid-tower case leave room for a more powerful GPU, though check the card's length and power connectors fit before buying.

Does it come with a monitor or keyboard?

No. It is a tower only, with no monitor bundle, so you need to supply your own display, keyboard and mouse.

Is DDR4 a problem for gaming?

Not for most games today. DDR4 is slower than DDR5 in some CPU-heavy titles, but the gap is small in practice and mainly matters for future-proofing.

How much storage does it have?

It ships with a 1TB SSD. There is typically room inside the case to add more storage, so check the open drive bays and M.2 slots on the exact model.

Gaming desktops like this usually drop during major sales events and when a newer model launches. Track the price history and buy when it sits near its recent low.

Our take on the ASUS ROG Strix G16CH Gaming Desktop

The ASUS ROG Strix G16CH is a mid-tower gaming desktop built around a 16-core Intel CPU boosting to 5.2 GHz, with 1TB of SSD storage, DDR4 memory on a B760 chipset, Wi-Fi 6, and a 750W power supply. It stands out for liquid cooling in a mainstream gaming tower and a roomy case that leaves space for upgrades. No monitor is bundled, so budget for one. Pricing varies by configuration and retailer, so compare listings before buying.
