Is the Legion Tower 5 Gen 8 worth it?

It is a solid prebuilt if you want RTX 40-series performance without building. At $2,699.99 at Amazon as of November 4, 2026, it costs more than assembling comparable parts yourself, so buy it for convenience and warranty.

Can I upgrade the RAM beyond 32GB?

Lenovo lists 32GB as the maximum across the four slots. That is enough for gaming and most creative work, but heavy virtualization or 8K editing will hit the ceiling.

The listed specs show 2.5G Ethernet but no Wi-Fi. Plan on a wired connection or add a Wi-Fi card in a free slot.

What ports does it have?

It has one USB-C 3.2 Gen 2, two USB 3.2 Gen 2, two USB 3.2 Gen 1 and two USB 2.0 ports, plus 2.5G Ethernet.

How does it compare to the Legion Tower 5 Gen 7?

Gen 8 moves to Ryzen 7000-series CPUs and RTX 40-series graphics with 5600MHz DDR5. If you already own a Gen 7, the jump is mainly in GPU and memory speed.

When is the best time to buy?

Only one new price was found, $2,699.99 at Amazon as of November 4, 2026. Watch for Black Friday and back-to-school sales, when Legion desktops usually see their deepest cuts.
