Our take on the Auseo Countertop Ice Maker 26 lbs/24H

The Auseo Countertop Ice Maker is a portable bullet-ice machine rated at up to 26 lb of ice per 24 hours, aimed at kitchens, home bars and small gatherings. It runs on standard 115V power and uses manual defrost, so it is a plug-in countertop appliance rather than a built-in unit. It carries no NTRL listing, which is worth weighing against certified rivals. The latest best price sits near the low end of its recent range, so it is a reasonable time to buy if the specs fit.

Questions and answers

Is the Auseo countertop ice maker worth it?
It is worth it if you want cheap, portable bullet ice for a small household or bar and do not need certified safety listing. If certification or long-term reliability matters, compare certified rivals first.
How much ice does it make per day?
Auseo rates it at up to 26 lb per 24 hours. Real output is lower in warm rooms or with warm water, and the bin holds only a batch at a time.
Does it need a water line?
No. You fill the reservoir by hand and drain it manually, so it only needs a 115V outlet and counter space.
What kind of ice does it make?
It makes bullet ice, the small cylindrical pieces common in portable makers. There is no cube-size or shape setting.
Is it certified?
The listing states no NTRL listing. Check the unit's label for any other safety mark before relying on it.
When is it cheapest?
Portable ice makers tend to dip during off-season winter months and around major sales events. Watch the price history rather than buying on impulse.
