Is the KM100 worth it for a small locksmith shop?
Yes, if most of your work is adding keys to cars from the last 10 years. It covers 700+ vehicles with Autel IKEY blanks and does IMMO learning over OBD. It will not replace a full programmer for all-keys-lost jobs on Toyota and Ford.
Does it work on all-keys-lost jobs?
No. Autel states the KM100 does not support all-keys-lost for Toyota and Ford cars. For those jobs you need a higher-tier tool.
Do I have to use Autel keys?
Yes for smart key generation. The 60-second key creation works with Autel IKEY universal smart keys, not OEM blanks. Transponder reading, writing and cloning works with standard transponders.
