Avid Power 620in lbs Brushless Cordless Drill Set with 2 Batteries

Our take on the Avid Power 620in lbs Brushless Cordless Drill Set with 2 Batteries

The Avid Power 620 in-lbs Brushless Cordless Drill Set is a 20V drill kit with a brushless motor, a 3/8-inch keyless chuck and two batteries included. Its headline figure is 620 in-lbs of torque, which is high for a budget drill and puts it near corded-drill territory for driving and light masonry work. The brushless motor should give longer runtime and life than a brushed motor at this price. As of November 4, 2026, the best new price is $43.99 at Lowe's, the only store listing it new, so there is no recent range to compare against.

Questions and answers

Is the Avid Power brushless drill worth $43.99?

At $43.99 at Lowe's as of November 4, 2026, it is cheap for a brushless drill with two batteries. If you need occasional home drilling and driving, the value is hard to beat; if you drill daily, spend more on a major brand.

How does it compare with a brushed 20V drill?

The brushless motor runs cooler and lasts longer per charge, and 620 in-lbs is above most brushed budget drills. You pay a little more up front but get better runtime and motor life.

What size bits does the 3/8-inch chuck take?

It takes bits with shanks up to 3/8 inch, which covers most drill and driver bits. It will not hold 1/2-inch shank bits, so heavy hole saws and large auger bits are out.

What comes in the box?

The set includes the drill, two 20V batteries and a charger. Confirm whether a case or bits are included at the Lowe's listing before you buy, since kit contents vary.

When is the best time to buy it?

With only one store listing it new at $43.99 as of November 4, 2026, there is little price movement to wait for. Watch for Lowe's holiday and spring tool sales if you are not in a hurry.

Can it handle masonry or concrete?

Only light work. The 620 in-lbs and 3/8-inch chuck suit small holes with a masonry bit, but it is not a rotary hammer and will struggle in hard concrete.

Where is the Avid Power 620in lbs Brushless Cordless Drill Set with 2 Batteries cheapest?

At Lowe's, for $43.99, as of our latest check.
