Our take on the Avocado Green Mattress Organic Latex Hybrid Queen Medium-Firm

The Avocado Green Mattress is an organic hybrid combining individually wrapped steel coils with natural latex foam, available in a medium-firm Queen. It is GOTS-certified organic and GREENGUARD Gold certified for low emissions, and it is one of the better-known eco-focused mattresses sold direct to consumers. The Queen medium-firm has been priced at $1,919 since October 31, 2026, with no lower price recorded in that window, so there is no recent discount to wait for.

Questions and answers

Is the Avocado Green Mattress good for side sleepers?
The medium-firm version is on the firm side for side sleepers, especially lighter people. Most side sleepers do better with a soft topper or Avocado's plush option.
How does it compare with an all-foam mattress?
The coil and latex build is bouncier, cooler and more supportive than memory foam. It also transfers more motion and feels firmer than most foam beds.
What is the Avocado Green Mattress made of?
It uses natural latex foam over individually wrapped steel coils, with organic cotton and wool in the cover. It is GOTS organic certified and GREENGUARD Gold certified.
Does it need a box spring?
No. It works on a slatted bed frame, a platform bed or an adjustable base. A box spring is not required.
Is $1,919 a good price for the Queen medium-firm?
That is the only price recorded since October 31, 2026, and it matches the high for that period, so there is no recent discount. Avocado discounts mainly around major sale holidays.
How firm is the medium-firm version?
It rates around 7 out of 10 for most sleepers, which is firmer than average. Back and stomach sleepers usually find it comfortable; side sleepers often do not.
Is the Avocado Green Mattress Organic Latex Hybrid Queen Medium-Firm at its lowest price?
The lowest price we've seen is $1,919.00 at Avocado Green Mattress on October 31.
What do buyers say about the Avocado Green Mattress Organic Latex Hybrid Queen Medium-Firm?
Rated 4.4 out of 5 from 22,000 ratings.
