Balenciaga Women's Alaska Boots

Our take on the Balenciaga Women's Alaska Boots

The Balenciaga Alaska Boots are a women's ankle bootie built on a chunky platform sole, with a split calfskin upper and a wool-blend lining and insole. The look is part winter boot, part statement piece, with a round toe and a thick TPU outsole. The best new price is $555 at Nordstrom as of November 5, 2026, and only one store currently lists it new, so there is little price competition to shop around.

Questions and answers

Are the Balenciaga Alaska Boots warm enough for winter?

They have a wool, acrylic and polyester lining and insole, so they suit cold city days. They are ankle-high, not a tall snow boot, so deep snow and slush are not their strength.

What is the platform sole made of?

The outsole and sole are TPU, a rubber-like synthetic. It is thick and gives height, but it adds weight compared with a flat boot.

What is the upper made of?

The upper is split calfskin, a suede-like leather, combined with synthetic material. Split calfskin needs protection from heavy rain and regular brushing.

Is $555 a good price for these boots?

Only one store lists them new at $555 as of November 5, 2026, so there is no lower new price to compare. That makes $555 the current market price rather than a markdown.

Do the Alaska Boots run true to size?

Sizing guidance is limited because few owners have reported on them. With a rounded toe and thick lining, trying your usual size first is the safer choice.

What comes in the box?

Expect the pair of boots and Balenciaga's standard packaging. Dust bags and spare laces are not confirmed for this model.

Where is the Balenciaga Women's Alaska Boots cheapest?

At Nordstrom, for $555.00, as of our latest check.

Where can I buy the Balenciaga Women's Alaska Boots?

3 stores we checked sell it, including Nordstrom, Bloomingdale's, farfetch.com.
