Our take on the Balsam Hill Sonoma Slim Pencil Artificial Christmas Tree

The Balsam Hill Sonoma Slim Pencil Tree is a 7-foot artificial Christmas tree with a 26-inch-wide pencil profile, built for foyers, entryways and other narrow spots. It comes pre-lit with 270 clear warm-white LED lights and uses more sustainable materials. At $549 at Balsam Hill as of November 7, 2026, it sits at the top of its recent price range, so waiting for a seasonal markdown is reasonable.

Questions and answers

Is $549 a good price for this tree?
It is the best new price found, at Balsam Hill as of November 7, 2026, and sits at the high end of its recent range. Balsam Hill trees usually drop during seasonal sales, so waiting can pay off.
Will it fit in a small entryway?
Yes. It is 7 feet tall but only 26 inches wide, so it suits foyers, hallways and apartments where a full tree would not fit.
Does it come pre-lit?
Yes. It has 270 clear warm-white LED lights built in, so no separate light strings are needed.
How does it compare with a full Balsam Hill tree?
It uses the same branch styling in a narrower footprint. A full tree looks denser and holds more ornaments, but needs far more floor space.
What is in the box?
The tree sections, the pre-strung lights and a stand. Check the listing for the exact stand and storage bag included.

Balsam Hill artificial trees typically see their deepest discounts around Black Friday and in early December.
