Our take on the Balsam Hill Vermont White Spruce 6.5 ft Artificial Christmas Tree with 435 Multicolor Twinkly Lights

The Vermont White Spruce is Balsam Hill's most natural-looking faux spruce, built with a mix of PE (molded) and PVC tips for a full, cone-shaped silhouette. This 6.5 ft version comes pre-lit with 435 multicolor Twinkly LED lights that run app-controlled light shows over Wi-Fi. It plugs into a wall socket and is available in standard, Easy Plug and Flip Tree setups. At $1,099.00 at Balsam Hill as of November 7, 2026, it sits at the top of the brand's spruce line, so expect to pay full price unless a seasonal sale hits.

Pros

  • Flip Tree and Easy Plug options cut setup time
Cons
  • $1,099.00 is a premium price for a 6.5 ft artificial tree
  • Plug-in power means you need an outlet near the tree
  • Twinkly lights depend on the app and Wi-Fi for shows
  • Heavy and bulky to store and move
  • Full profile takes up floor space in smaller rooms

Questions and answers

Is the Vermont White Spruce worth $1,099.00?
If you want a realistic pre-lit tree with app-controlled lights and plan to use it for many seasons, the cost spreads out over years. Shoppers who only need a basic lit tree can spend far less elsewhere.
How does it compare with Balsam Hill's BH Balsam Fir?

Do the Twinkly lights need Wi-Fi?
The lights work as standard multicolor LEDs without a connection. Wi-Fi and the Twinkly app are needed for custom colors, schedules and light shows.
What sizes does it come in?
It is offered in 4.5 ft, 5.5 ft, 6.5 ft and 7.5 ft heights, in narrow, full and wide profiles. This listing is the 6.5 ft version with 435 lights.
What is in the box?
You get the tree sections, the pre-attached Twinkly light strings, a stand and a storage bag, depending on the setup option you choose. Check the setup type (Standard, Easy Plug or Flip Tree) before ordering.
When is it cheapest?
Balsam Hill discounts trees most around early November and after Christmas. The current best new price is $1,099.00 at Balsam Hill as of November 7, 2026.
