Our take on the Bambu Lab H2C Combo

The Bambu Lab H2C Combo is a large-format, dual-extruder 3D printer built around the Vortek hotend changing system: the left hotend stays fixed while the right one swaps between six hotends during a print, giving up to seven materials in one run. It has a 325x320x320 mm build volume, 350°C nozzles, a 65°C actively heated chamber, a closed-loop servo extruder and a 5-inch touchscreen. The best new price is $1,899 at fbrc8 llc as of November 3, 2026, with four stores listing it new. It sits at the top of Bambu Lab's consumer range, well above the P1S and X1 Carbon, so it is a machine for people who print multi-material parts often.

Best forOwners of a P1S or X1 who print multicolor often and want less purge wasteSmall shops and makers printing functional multi-material parts like PA6-GF withUsers who want a big enclosed build volume with a heated chamber for engineeringPeople upgrading from a slow, wasteful AMS setup on another brand
Pros
  • Seven hotends in one machine: fixed left nozzle plus six auto-swapped right nozzles
  • Minimal purge waste compared with single-nozzle AMS color changes
  • Large 325x320x320 mm build volume with a 65°C actively heated chamber
  • 8-second induction heating and up to 1000 mm/s toolhead speed with 20,000 mm/s² acceleration
  • Closed-loop servo extruder with real-time filament path error detection
  • Scales to 24 colors with up to 4 AMS 2 Pro and 8 AMS HT units
Cons
  • $1,899 is a big jump over a P1S Combo or X1 Carbon Combo
  • 32.5 kg and roughly 49x51x63 cm: needs a sturdy, deep bench
  • Setup with many nozzles on the Vortek system takes time
  • 1800 W at 220 V means a high-draw circuit; 1250 W on 110 V
  • Laser and cutting module are optional extras, not included

About the Bambu Lab H2C Combo

Estimated ship time 1-3 days.

The Bambu Lab H2C AMS 2 Pro Combo 3D printer provides a large build volume, with the Vortek hotend changing system. While the dual nozzle on the H2D saves you time and filament waste on two color prints, the Vortek changing system features quick induction heating and 7 hotends. The left hotend is stationary, while the right hotend will automatically swap between 6 different hotends as needed during printing.

The H2C can take up to 4 AMS 2 Pro units and 8 AMS HT units for 24 print colors. With the dedicated hotends mixing multi-material prints--like TPU for AMS and PA6-GF--becomes a breeze and uses minimal waste.

Purge Saving Multi-Color Printing

Painting intricate models is a thing of the past — the H2C brings your designs to life with six-color printing and a versatile seventh nozzle for support or an additional color. This whole thing is printed in 2 parts. The main raptor is 6-color and the base is another 6-color.

Purge Saving Multi-Material Printing

With the H2C, you can print up to seven different materials in a single run — no nozzle purging required. Combine multiple material properties in one seamless structure and take integrated design to a whole new level.

Integrated TPU Joints for Multi-Color Parts

Print durable TPU ball joints for your robot models — flexible, long-lasting, and built for endless motion.

Better High-Speed Reliability & Real-Time Error Detection.

The PMSM servo extruder delivers up to 10 kg of maximum extrusion force—70% more than stepper motor—dramatically improves high-flowrate extrusion stability. Our proprietary servo architecture samples resistance and position at 20 kHz, actively detecting filament grinding and clogs in real time.

Smooth Surface, Sharp Edges

The H2C leverages both the servo motor on the extruder and the high-resolution eddy current sensors on the nozzle to sense extrusion dynamics. This enables precise extrusion control and automatic calibration of Pressure Advance (PA) parameters for each filament, resulting in smoother surfaces and cleaner, sharper edges.

Questions and answers

Is the H2C worth $1,899 over an X1 Carbon Combo?
If you print multicolor or multi-material parts regularly, yes: the Vortek system cuts purge waste and lets you run seven materials in one job. For single-color printing most of the time, an X1 Carbon Combo does the same core job for far less.
How is it different from the H2D?
The H2D uses two fixed nozzles, which saves time and waste on two-color prints. The H2C keeps one fixed nozzle but swaps the right one between six hotends, so it handles up to seven materials with minimal purging.
How many colors can it print?
Up to 24 with the full AMS setup: 4 AMS 2 Pro units plus 8 AMS HT units. The Combo ships with AMS 2 Pro, and you add more units later.
What can the heated chamber and hotends handle?
Nozzles reach 350°C and the chamber holds 65°C, which covers PA6-GF, ABS, ASA and similar engineering filaments. TPU for AMS also works through the dedicated hotends.
Does it come with the laser module?
No. The 10W/40W laser and cutting module are optional add-ons, so budget for them separately if you want engraving or cutting.
When is the best time to buy?
Bambu Lab and its resellers discount around major sales events and printer launches. Track the price history here; the current best is $1,899 at fbrc8 llc as of November 3, 2026.
Where is the Bambu Lab H2C Combo cheapest?
At fbrc8 llc, for $1,899.00, 17% under what the other stores charge, as of our latest check.
Where can I buy the Bambu Lab H2C Combo?
7 stores we checked sell it, including fbrc8 llc, Pitsco Education, Best Buy, Swing Design, Bumpa Built.
