Is the MalleoTrain worth the price?

If you want compression plus targeted padding without a rigid brace, it is one of the better-made options. For a mild ache only, a cheaper sleeve may be enough.

How do I pick the right size?

Measure your ankle circumference and match it to the size chart: size 3 covers 21-23 cm. Order the correct left or right version.

Can I wear it in shoes?

Yes. It has no rigid parts and the knit is thin enough for most sneakers and cleats. Very tight shoes may still feel snug.

Yes, hand or machine wash on a gentle cycle and air dry. Avoid fabric softener and tumble drying.

Does it replace a rigid ankle brace?

No. For severe sprains or post-surgery protection, a rigid brace or boot is usually needed. The MalleoTrain is for mild to moderate support.

Our take on the Bauerfeind MalleoTrain Ankle Support Brace, Right Foot, Size 3

The MalleoTrain is Bauerfeind's soft ankle brace for sprains, instability and post-injury support. It uses a three-dimensional knit for graduated compression plus two contoured viscoelastic pads that sit around the malleoli to massage and stabilize the joint. Unlike a rigid stirrup brace, it has no hard parts, so it fits in most shoes. It comes in six sizes and separate left/right versions, and it is sold as a single piece.
