Our take on the Baybynest Crib Mattress 52" x 27.5" x 6" with Tencel-Lyocell Cover

The Baybynest is a 52 x 27.5 x 6 inch gel memory foam crib and toddler mattress with a Eurotop and a Tencel-Lyocell cover. The 6-inch profile is thicker than the 4 to 5 inch pads common at the low end, and the gel foam is meant to sleep cooler than plain memory foam. At $35 at eBay as of November 8, 2026, it sits far below what gel foam crib mattresses usually cost. Only two stores list it new, so the price is easy to check but hard to compare.

Best forParents setting up a first nursery on a budgetToddler bed conversion and daybed useShoppers who want a removable, washable coverGuest cribs and grandparents' houses
Pros
  • 6-inch gel memory foam gives more cushioning than thin 4-inch pads
  • Tencel-Lyocell cover is soft and breathable
  • Fits standard crib and toddler bed frames at 52 x 27.5 inches
  • Eurotop construction adds a plush top layer
  • $35 at eBay as of November 8, 2026 is very low for gel foam
Cons
  • Memory foam can sleep warm for some babies despite the gel
  • Soft foam is less firm than many parents expect from a crib mattress
  • Only two stores list it new, so price comparisons are thin
  • Little independent safety or durability testing is public for this brand
