Our take on the Bayou Breeze Arcella Hanging Egg Chair with Stand and Cushion

The Arcella is a swinging egg chair on a freestanding stand, sold with a seat cushion in a manila (beige) finish. It holds up to 330 lb, so most adults can use it, and the included stand means no ceiling beam or hanging hardware is needed. It is a single-piece outdoor lounge piece for a porch, patio or sunroom. At $319.99 at Wayfair as of November 7, 2026, it is the only new price listed, so there is no recent range to compare it against.

Pros
  • Includes both the stand and a cushion, so nothing extra is needed to hang it
  • 330 lb weight capacity suits most adults
  • Freestanding stand works where there is no overhead beam
  • Swinging motion for gentle rocking
  • Neutral manila color fits most outdoor decor
Cons
  • Only one new price listed, so there is no way to judge whether $319.99 is a good deal
  • Freestanding egg-chair stands are bulky and take up a lot of floor space
  • Cushion is included but the frame is likely to need cover or storage in wet weather
  • No headrest or extra pillows beyond the seat cushion

Questions and answers

Does the stand come with the chair?
Yes. The listing includes the stand and the seat cushion along with the egg chair itself, so you do not need to buy a separate base or hanging kit.
How much weight does it hold?
The rated capacity is 330 lb, which covers most adults. The limit applies to the whole chair and stand together.
Do I need to hang it from a ceiling?
No. The chair hangs from its own freestanding stand, so it can go on a porch or patio without any overhead mounting.
Is $319.99 a good price?
Only one store lists it new at $319.99 as of November 7, 2026, so there is no recent price range to compare against. Watch the price over a few weeks before deciding.
Can it stay outside in the rain?
It is designed for porch and patio use, but the cushion and frame will last longer if you bring the cushion in or cover the chair during heavy rain and winter.
What size is it?
The listing does not give dimensions. Egg chairs with stands are typically around 40 to 45 inches wide and about 6 feet tall, so measure your space before ordering.
Where is the Bayou Breeze Arcella Hanging Egg Chair with Stand and Cushion cheapest?
At Wayfair, for $319.99, as of our latest check.
