Questions and answers

Is the Helton jute rug worth it?
For a natural-fiber rug at a moderate price, yes. It is handmade, comes in several sizes and holds a 4.6 out of 5 rating from about 1,600 shoppers. Skip it if you want a soft, plush rug.
Does it shed?
Yes, some shedding is normal for jute and cotton, especially in the first weeks. Vacuum gently without a beater bar, and shedding should settle down.
Can I use it in a bathroom or kitchen?
It handles a kitchen or hallway fine, but keep it out of wet bathrooms. Jute absorbs moisture and can mildew, so dry the rug quickly if it gets wet.
What sizes does it come in?
It is sold in multiple sizes, including a 2' 6" x 8' runner. Check the size list before ordering, since availability varies by size.
Is it safe for pets?
It is durable enough for pets, but claws can snag the weave. Trim any pulled loops instead of tugging them, and vacuum regularly.
When is it cheapest?
Natural-fiber rugs usually drop during seasonal home sales and clearance events. Watch the price history for the size you want rather than assuming the list price is the low.
