Our take on the Beachcrest Home Helton Farmhouse Jute and Cotton Area Rug

The Beachcrest Home Helton is a hand-woven jute and cotton area rug in a farmhouse tan colorway, sized 90 by 114 inches (about 7.5 by 9.5 feet). The flat 0.25-inch pile and natural fiber blend suit high-traffic rooms and homes with pets. It is not reversible and has no non-slip backing, so a pad is needed on hard floors. No current price was provided, so check the live comparison for where it sits against its recent range.

Questions and answers

Is this rug good for homes with pets?
Yes. Jute and cotton are durable natural fibers and the low pile traps less hair. Vacuum often and blot accidents quickly, since jute can stain.
Does it need a rug pad?
Yes. It has no non-slip backing, so a pad keeps it from sliding on wood or tile and adds cushioning.
Can it be used outdoors?
The listing includes indoor/outdoor placement, but jute absorbs moisture and can mildew. Keep it covered and dry if used on a porch.
How do I clean it?
Vacuum regularly without a beater bar and blot spills with a damp cloth. Do not machine wash; deep cleaning should be professional.
What size is it in feet?
It measures 90 by 114 inches, about 7.5 by 9.5 feet, a common size for living rooms and dining tables.
When is the best time to buy?
Watch the price history around major sales and open-box listings. Compare across stores before buying, since the price varies by seller.
