Our take on the Beachcrest Home Jeremias Berber Shag 563 Area Rug In Ivory / Light Aqua, Round 8'

The Jeremias is a machine-made polyester shag rug in a Berber-style ivory and light aqua pattern. It has a deep 1.18-inch pile and is treated to resist stains, and it is meant for indoor use in any room. The listing describes a round 8-foot rug, but the spec sheet gives a 2'3" by 10-foot rectangle, so confirm the size and shape before ordering. The best new price is $179.99 at Wayfair as of November 5, 2026, the only new price found.

  • Professional cleaning is recommended, which adds cost
  • Only one new price found, so there is little to compare

Is the Jeremias rug round or rectangular?
The listing calls it a round 8-foot rug, but the spec sheet lists a 2'3" by 10-foot rectangle. Confirm the size and shape with the store before you buy.
Is it good for high-traffic rooms?
Not ideal. The deep polyester shag can flatten and mat in walkways, so it suits bedrooms and living rooms better than hallways.
How do I clean it?
It is stain resistant for spot cleaning, but the maker recommends professional cleaning. A deep shag is hard to vacuum thoroughly.
Does it shed?
Some owners report shedding and loose fibers, mostly when the rug is new. Regular gentle vacuuming helps.
Is $179.99 a good price?
