Is this mattress pad worth it over a heated blanket?

A heated mattress pad warms you from below, which most people find more effective than a blanket on top. Choose this one if you want under-body warmth and a fitted-sheet-friendly design; choose a blanket if you want portability.

Will it fit an 18-inch mattress?

Yes. The skirt is rated for mattresses up to 18 inches deep, so it should fit most pillow-top and hybrid beds.

Can I wash it in a machine?

Yes, it is machine washable. Detach the cord and controller first and follow the care label, and make sure it is fully dry before plugging it back in.

Does the 3M moisture treatment matter?

It wicks moisture away from the body, which helps reduce the clammy feeling polyester can give. It is a comfort feature, not waterproofing.

When is the best time to buy?

Heated bedding tends to be discounted in early fall and around Black Friday. Compare the current price with its recent range before buying.

Our take on the Beautyrest 3M Moisture Microfiber Heated Mattress Pad

This is a heated mattress pad from Beautyrest with a diamond-quilted microfiber top, 11 oz. of polyester fill and a skirt that fits mattresses up to 18 inches deep. It is Oeko-Tex Standard 100 certified and machine washable, with a 6-foot cord. The 3M moisture-wicking treatment is the main differentiator over a plain heated pad. It sits in the budget-to-mid range for heated mattress pads; check the current price against its recent range before buying.
