Our take on the Beautyrest Silver BRS900 Medium Pillow Top Adjustable Base Mattress Set

This is a Twin XL mattress set: a BRS900 Medium pillow-top innerspring mattress with gel memory foam, a boxspring and an adjustable base, 23 inches thick overall. The pillow top softens the medium feel, and the adjustable base adds head and foot articulation that a plain boxspring set cannot offer. At $568 at Home Depot as of November 4, 2026, it is the only new price listed among two stores, so there is no meaningful recent range to compare against. Twin XL is the size for adjustable bases and dorm or guest setups, not for couples.

Best forShoppers who want a mattress and adjustable base in one purchaseTwin XL bedrooms, guest rooms and dorm setupsBack and side sleepers who like a medium feel with cushioningPeople who read or watch TV in bed and want the head raised
Pros
  • Pillow top adds surface cushioning over the medium innerspring core
  • Gel memory foam layer helps with pressure points and heat
  • Adjustable base included, so no separate foundation purchase
  • 23-inch profile gives a substantial, hotel-style look
  • Sustainably sourced materials noted in the build
Cons
  • Twin XL only, so it does not fit couples
  • 23 inches is tall; check sheet depth and bed-frame clearance
  • Innerspring plus pillow top can transfer motion between sleepers
  • Pillow tops tend to soften and sag sooner than tight-top mattresses
  • Adjustable base motors and remotes are not described here, so verify what the base includes
