Is the Bedsure GentleSoft Electric Blanket worth it?

For couch and lap use at a budget price, yes. It is soft, has 6 heat levels and a timer, and is ETL certified. Do not expect even heat across a whole bed.

What size is the 50x60-inch version?

It is a throw: 50 inches wide and 60 inches long, enough to cover a lap or one person on a sofa. It is not a full or queen bed blanket.

How does the auto shut-off work?

The blanket shuts off automatically after 8 hours. You can also set the timer to 1, 2, 4, 6, 8 or 10 hours, so shorter sessions end sooner.

Can I wash it in a machine?

Yes, detach the controller and cord first, then wash on a gentle cycle. Air-dry or tumble on low; do not wring it out or dry-clean it.

Does it work with a 220V outlet?

No. It is rated for 120V AC only, so it is for US and Canada outlets. A 220V outlet needs a voltage converter or a different model.

Heated blankets usually drop in price in late fall and around Black Friday, and again in January. Check the price history before buying outside those windows.

Our take on the Bedsure GentleSoft Electric Blanket

The Bedsure GentleSoft Electric Blanket is a 50x60-inch heated throw with a 240 GSM flannel top and a 200 GSM sherpa reverse. It offers 6 heat levels, timer settings from 1 to 10 hours, and an 8-hour auto shut-off, drawing 130W on standard 120V power. It is ETL and FCC certified and comes with one controller at this size. It is a budget-priced heated throw aimed at couch and bed use rather than all-night bedding.
