Our take on the Behome 24" Electric Space Heater with Remote & Thermostat

The Behome 24-inch electric space heater is a portable PTC ceramic tower with a remote, adjustable thermostat, 70-degree oscillation and a child lock. It is aimed at bedrooms, offices and homes with kids, pets or elderly people, and it carries tip-over, overheat and auto shut-off protection. At $49.99 at Walmart as of November 5, 2026, it is the lowest new price among the two stores that list it, so this is a budget-tier heater rather than a premium one.

Questions and answers

Is the Behome 24-inch heater worth $49.99?
At $49.99 at Walmart as of November 5, 2026, it is a reasonable buy for a bedroom or office where you want remote control and a thermostat. It will not replace central heating for a large open space.
How much area does it heat?
Behome markets it for bedrooms, offices, basements and desktops, and the 70-degree oscillation spreads air across a small room. Treat it as a personal or single-room heater, not a whole-home solution.
Is it safe around children and pets?
It has a tip-over switch, overheat protection, automatic shut-off and a child lock, and the housing is flame-retardant. Those features make it a better fit for family homes than a bare element heater.
Does it come with a remote?
Yes. The remote adjusts the thermostat and settings, and the heater also has onboard controls. You will need to point the remote at the unit.
How does it compare with a ceramic tower from a bigger brand?
It costs less and covers the same basics: PTC ceramic heat, oscillation, thermostat and safety cutoffs. Bigger brands typically add more precise temperature control and sturdier builds at a higher price.
When is it cheapest?
Space heaters usually drop in price outside the cold months and during fall promotions. Check the price history on this page before buying in winter.
Where is the Behome 24" Electric Space Heater with Remote & Thermostat cheapest?
