Our take on the Bell + Howell Solar Powered Paw Print Disk Lights

The Bell + Howell Solar Powered Paw Print Disk Lights are stake-in outdoor path lights shaped like a paw print, powered by a small solar panel and set to turn on automatically at dusk. Each light puts out just 7 lumens of cool white (6500 K) light, so they are decorative markers rather than area lighting. They are water-resistant and cordless, with ground stakes included. At $27.99 at Target as of November 3, 2026, the price sits at the low end for this set among the 8 stores that carry it new.

Questions and answers

Are these bright enough to light a walkway?
No. Each light is rated at 7 lumens, which is enough to mark the edge of a path but not to illuminate it. Treat them as decorative accents.
Do they need direct sunlight?
Yes, the solar panel needs sun to charge the battery. In heavy shade or on long cloudy stretches, expect shorter run time or no light.
Do they turn on automatically?
Yes. They have a dusk-to-dawn sensor and switch on at dark and off in daylight, with no remote or switch needed.
What comes in the box?
The lights and the ground stakes for installation. No wiring, transformer or remote is included.
Can they stay outside in rain?
They are rated water-resistant, so normal rain and garden watering are fine. They are not rated for submersion.
Is $27.99 a good price?
It is the best new price among the 8 stores listing them as of November 3, 2026, so it is a fair buy at that figure. Watch for seasonal garden sales if you are not in a hurry.
