Questions and answers

Is the BergHOFF Leo Spirit set worth it?: For $39.99 at Wayfair as of November 5, 2026, it is a reasonable first set: forged full-tang blades in the three sizes most cooking uses. Skip it if you need a bread knife or a block.
What is included in the set?: An 8-inch chef's knife, a 5-inch utility knife and a 3.5-inch paring knife. No sharpener, block or bread knife is included.
Are the blades forged or stamped?: Forged, with full tangs running through the handles. That is unusual at this price, where most sets are stamped.
Can these knives go in the dishwasher?: Hand washing is the safer choice. Dishwasher heat and detergent dull edges and wear the ABS handles over time.
How does it compare with a larger BergHOFF set?: Bigger BergHOFF sets add a bread knife, santoku or block, but cost more. This set is the cheapest way to get the same blade construction.
When is the price lowest?: It is $39.99 at Wayfair as of November 5, 2026, with 3 stores selling it new. Compare those stores before buying; set prices often dip around holidays.
