Is the Bissell Pet Hair Eraser Slim good for pet hair?

Yes. It is designed around pet hair, with a motorized brush and a hand-vac mode for pet beds and upholstery. It works best on low-pile carpet, rugs and bare floors rather than deep plush.

How long is the cord?

The cord is 27 feet, which covers most single rooms and hallways from one outlet. You will still need to move the plug between floors.

Does it work on bare floors and carpets?

Yes. Variable suction control lets you dial down for bare floors and up for carpet and area rugs. The 10-inch cleaning width suits both.

Can it be used as a handheld vacuum?

Yes. It converts to a hand vac for pet beds, stairs and car seats, which is the main reason to pick it over a plain stick.

It weighs 9.25 lbs, light enough to carry up stairs one-handed. The cord adds drag, so it is easiest on one floor.

No. It uses a bagless dirt cup that you empty by hand, so expect to empty it often when picking up heavy pet hair.

Our take on the Bissell Pet Hair Eraser Slim Corded Stick Vacuum

The Bissell Pet Hair Eraser Slim is a corded stick vacuum built for homes with pets. It has a 10-inch cleaning width, variable suction control and a 27-foot cord, and it converts to a hand vac for pet beds and stairs. At 9.25 lbs it is light enough to carry between rooms, but it is corded, so you stay tethered to an outlet.
