Is this rug worth buying for one holiday season?

If you want a large, low-cost festive centerpiece for a living room or dining area, yes. It is a decorative seasonal rug, so expect it to look best for a few seasons rather than many years.

Does it work under a dining table?

At 5 by 7 feet it fits under a small to mid-size dining table with chairs partly on the rug. Check your table and chair footprint first, since chairs pulled back may come off the edge.

Vacuum without a beater bar and spot-clean spills with mild soap and water, then air dry. Shake it out and roll it for storage at the end of the season.

Will it slide on hardwood floors?

A thin polyester rug like this can shift on smooth floors. A rug pad adds grip and a little cushioning.

When is the best time to buy a Christmas rug?

Holiday decor is usually discounted after December 25 and again in early January as stores clear seasonal stock. Buying before Thanksgiving means paying closer to full price.

What size room does a 5'x7' rug suit?

It works in a small living room, under a dining table, or at the foot of a queen or king bed. In a large open room it reads as an accent rather than a full floor covering.

Our take on the Bleum Cade 5'x7' Christmas Area Rug

The Bleum Cade Cade 5'x7' Christmas Area Rug is a seasonal polyester area rug printed with a patchwork holiday scene: red and green plaid, snowflakes, pine trees, reindeer, holly and a snowy cabin. At 5 by 7 feet it covers a seating area or sits under a dining table, and the low-profile polyester pile is easy to spot-clean and roll up for storage. It is a decorative holiday piece rather than an everyday rug, so judge it on the print and the price, not on long-term durability.
