Is $253.81 a good price for the 34x52 size?

Only Blindster.com lists this size new at $253.81 as of November 7, 2026, so there is no second price to compare. Custom woven wood shades in this size commonly run $200 to $400, which puts this price in the normal range.

Do these shades block light?

They are unlined, so they filter and soften light but do not black out a room. For a bedroom, plan on a liner or a different shade.

Can I mount them inside or outside the window frame?

Both mounts are supported. Inside mount gives a cleaner look; outside mount covers more of the window and hides gaps.

What is included in the box?

All necessary installation hardware and instructions are included. The motorized version ships with its battery power source.

Are they safe around children?

The cordless and motorized versions have no hanging cords, and the line meets CPSC child-safety requirements. The continuous cord loop version does have a cord, so keep it out of reach.

How do I clean woven wood shades?

Dust with a soft brush or vacuum brush attachment. Avoid soaking the bamboo and flax, which can warp or stain.
