- Is the Novilla Bliss mattress worth it?
- At $299.99 at Amazon as of November 4, 2026, it is a low-cost way to get a 12-inch memory foam bed. It makes sense for a guest room or first apartment; heavy sleepers or hot sleepers may want a hybrid instead.
- How firm is the Bliss mattress?
- Novilla markets it as balanced comfort, which lands around medium-firm. Lighter sleepers often find it plush, while heavier sleepers may sink in more than expected.
- Does it need a box spring?
- No. It works on a platform bed, slatted frame or adjustable base. A solid or slatted foundation with good airflow helps the foam stay cooler and last longer.
- How long does it take to expand?
- Memory foam typically reaches most of its full height within 24 to 48 hours after unboxing. The 12-inch profile may look thinner on day one.
- Is the Bliss good for hot sleepers?
- Not especially. It is standard memory foam without a cooling gel or coil layer, so it retains more heat than a hybrid. Hot sleepers should consider a breathable mattress protector or a hybrid model.
- When is the best time to buy?
- Mattress prices usually drop around major sales events such as Memorial Day, Labor Day and Black Friday. Only one store lists it new as of November 4, 2026, so watch that listing for markdowns.
