Our take on the Borne Portable Party Speaker System btspk145

The Borne btspk145 is a portable party speaker rated at 800 W peak, with Bluetooth, Wi-Fi, USB and AUX inputs and a built-in battery rated for 5 hours. It is 13.4 inches wide and built for outdoor use. At $39.45 at eBay as of November 4, 2026, it sits at the low end of what a speaker with these claimed specs usually costs, so the price is the main draw. Treat the 800 W figure as a peak marketing number, not continuous output.

Best forBackyard parties and cookoutsBuyers on a tight budgetOutdoor use where a wall outlet is nearbyCasual listeners who want loud volume
Pros
  • Very low price for the claimed wattage
  • Four input options: Bluetooth, Wi-Fi, USB and AUX
  • Battery power makes it usable away from outlets
  • 13.4-inch body is small enough to carry
Cons
  • 5-hour battery is short for all-day outdoor use
  • 800 W is likely peak, not RMS, output
  • Only 6 ratings, so reliability is unproven
  • Borne is a little-known brand with limited service support

Questions and answers

Is the Borne btspk145 worth buying?
At $39.45 at eBay as of November 4, 2026, it is a cheap way to get loud outdoor sound with several inputs. Expect budget build quality and a short battery, not premium audio.
Is 800 W a real power rating?
It is almost certainly peak power, which inflates the number. Continuous (RMS) output will be far lower, so judge it by loudness in person, not the spec sheet.
How long does the battery last?
The rated life is 5 hours. At high volume expect less, so plan to recharge or plug in during long events.
What can I connect to it?
Bluetooth, Wi-Fi, USB and AUX. That covers phones, laptops, flash drives and wired sources.
When is the price lowest?
Party speakers usually drop around Black Friday and summer sales. At $39.45 it is already near the bottom of the market, so waiting may save little.
