Is the Bosch Colt GKF125CEN worth it?

Yes for trim, edge and light mortise work. It is a proven compact router with soft start and fine depth adjustment. Skip it if you need 1/2-inch shank bits or cordless use.

How does it compare with the older Colt?

The GKF125CEN adds soft start, a wider speed range and the quick-clamp base with micro-adjustment. It is the more refined version of the classic Colt palm router.

Does it work with the Bosch PR111 plunge base?

Yes, the PR111 plunge base is listed as compatible. That turns the fixed-base trim router into a small plunge router for mortises and stopped cuts.

What bits can it take?

It uses 1/4-inch shank bits, including piloted chamfer bits. It cannot take 1/2-inch shank bits.

The router comes with its fixed base and 1/4-inch collet. The plunge base and straight-edge accessory are sold separately.
