Is the BowFlex 5.1S worth it over a fixed bench?

If floor space is tight, yes. The folding design and six angles add versatility a flat bench cannot match. If you have room and only press flat, a fixed bench costs less.

How much weight does it hold?

600 lb, or 272 kg, including the lifter. That covers most home dumbbell and barbell work.

How many positions does the backrest have?

Six backrest angles, plus an adjustable seat. That covers flat, incline and decline pressing.

How much space does it save when stored?

BowFlex claims over 50% space savings when the bench is folded and stood vertically. It still needs a wall or corner to lean against.

What is the best price for the 5.1S?

$309 at Walmart as of November 8, 2026, with two stores listing it new. Compare both before buying.
