Our take on the Bric's Ulisse Large Expandable Spinner

The Bric's Ulisse Large Expandable Spinner is a hard-shell checked suitcase from the Italian luggage maker, built in polycarbonate with a zip expansion panel and four spinner wheels. It weighs 10.6 lb empty, which is heavy for its class, so packers should expect to give up some airline weight allowance. At $279 at Airline Intl as of November 3, 2026, it sits well below Bric's usual full-size pricing, and only one store currently lists it new.

Best forFrequent flyers who want a durable checked bagTravelers who overpack and need expansion roomBuyers who want Bric's styling at a discountTwo- to three-week trips
Pros
  • Polycarbonate hard shell resists cracking and scuffs
  • Zip expansion adds packing room on return trips
  • Four spinner wheels roll easily through terminals
  • Bric's build quality and trim are a step above budget brands
  • $279 is a low price for a large Bric's hard shell
Cons
  • 10.6 lb empty eats into checked-bag weight limits
  • Hard shell has no exterior pockets for quick access
  • Only one store lists it new, so price competition is thin
  • Large size can be awkward on trains and in small cars

Questions and answers

Is $279 a good price for this suitcase?
Yes. Large Bric's hard-shell spinners usually sell for considerably more, and $279 at Airline Intl as of November 3, 2026 is a low point. With only one store listing it new, watch for stock running out.
How heavy is it, and does that matter?
It weighs 10.6 lb empty. Most airlines cap checked bags at 50 lb, so you get roughly 39 lb of packing before overage fees.
What does the expansion add?
The zip expansion panel gives extra depth for souvenirs or laundry on the return leg. Expand it before checking, since expanded bags measure larger.
Is it carry-on size?
No. This is the large checked size in the Ulisse line. Bric's makes smaller Ulisse spinners if you need a cabin bag.
What's in the box?
The suitcase itself, typically with a dust bag and the built-in TSA-friendly lock. Confirm contents with the store before ordering.
Where is the Bric's Ulisse Large Expandable Spinner cheapest?
At Airline Intl, for $279.00, as of our latest check.
