Is the HL-L2400D worth it?

For basic black-and-white printing from one computer, yes. It is fast, prints on both sides automatically and costs little to run. If you need wireless printing or scanning, look elsewhere.

No. The HL-L2400D connects only by USB to a single computer. There is no Wi-Fi or Ethernet, so mobile printing apps are of little use without a network connection.

How does it compare with the HL-L2460DW?

The HL-L2460DW adds Wi-Fi and Ethernet for a higher price. The HL-L2400D is the cheaper choice if a USB cable to one machine is all you need.

What toner does it use, and what does it cost to run?

It takes Brother TN830 standard or TN830XL high-yield toner, plus a separate drum unit. High-yield toner lowers the cost per page, so check the yield figures before buying.

Is a USB cable included?

No. The box contains the printer and a Refresh Subscription trial; you need to supply your own USB cable.
