Our take on the Callaway Chrome Tour

The Chrome Tour is Callaway's current-generation tour urethane ball, built for better players who want fast ball speeds with a soft feel. The best new price is $26.00 at eBay as of November 5, 2026, well below what tour urethane balls typically cost, with 5 stores pricing it new.

Questions and answers

Is the Chrome Tour worth it over the Chrome Soft?
The Chrome Tour is the firmer, faster tour option with more greenside spin; the Chrome Soft is softer and more forgiving for slower swings. Better players who want control around the greens usually prefer the Chrome Tour.
How does it compare to the previous generation?
This is the current generation, with a new Hyper Fast Soft Core, Seamless Tour Aero and a new urethane soft cover. Callaway claims faster speeds and more consistent flight than the prior model.
Is $26 a good price?
Yes. $26.00 for a 12-ball pack at eBay as of November 5, 2026 is low for a tour urethane ball, which usually runs well above that. Check that the listing is for new, current-generation balls.
Who should not play this ball?
Golfers with slow swing speeds may lose distance from the soft core and high spin. Beginners are usually better off with a cheaper, more durable ionomer ball.
What is in the box?
One 12-ball pack of white Callaway Chrome Tour golf balls. No gloves, tees or other accessories are included.
When is it cheapest?
Tour balls tend to drop when a new generation launches or during end-of-season sales. The $26.00 eBay price as of November 5, 2026 is already near the low end of its range.
Where is the Callaway Chrome Tour cheapest?
At Amazon, for $47.99, 17% under what the other stores charge, as of our latest check.
What do buyers say about the Callaway Chrome Tour?
