Our take on the Calyan Wax Co. Glass Tumbler Soy Candle

An 8.8 oz soy wax candle poured in a cream glass tumbler, made by Calyan Wax Co., a small Texas brand known for donating part of its proceeds to fight human trafficking. It is a scented candle aimed at spring and winter use. The best new price is $12.05 at eBay as of November 4, 2026, against a typical retail of roughly $25 to $30, so this is well below what the candle usually sells for.

Questions and answers

Is $12.05 a good price for this candle?
Yes. The candle normally retails around $25 to $30, so $12.05 at eBay as of November 4, 2026 is roughly half off. Check that the listing is new and sealed, since eBay sellers vary.
How long does an 8.8 oz soy candle last?
Expect roughly 40 to 50 hours of burn time. Trim the wick to about a quarter inch and let the melt pool reach the glass edge on the first burn to avoid tunneling.
Is it really 100% soy wax?
Calyan uses soy wax, which burns cooler and cleaner than paraffin. Some soy candles blend in a small amount of other waxes for scent throw, so check the label if you need a pure soy product.
What does it smell like?
Scents rotate by season, with spring and winter pours in the lineup. The specific notes depend on which scent you buy, so confirm the scent name on the listing before ordering.
Can I reuse the glass tumbler?
Yes. Once the candle burns down, freeze the glass briefly, pop out the wax, and wash it for use as a small cup or holder. The cream glass is sturdy enough for reuse.
When is it cheapest?
Prices dip around seasonal clearance and on marketplace listings like eBay. The current $12.05 is already well under retail, so waiting is unlikely to save much more.
