Is the Lodge Down Jacket worth $944.51?

It is a premium down puffer with a hood and two-way zipper, and owners rate it 4.5 out of 5. Whether it is worth it depends on how often you face real winter cold; for mild climates, cheaper jackets do the job.

How warm is it compared with a lighter down jacket?

Canada Goose rates it heavyweight, with 100% down fill and a hood. It is meant for fall and winter cold, not cool spring evenings.

Does it fit true to size?

The fit is relaxed and hip-length, so it runs roomy. If you want a closer fit or plan only light layering, consider sizing down.

Can it be machine washed?

Yes, the care instructions list machine wash. Use a down-safe detergent and tumble dry low with dryer balls to restore loft.

The jacket itself. It ships as a single garment with no extra insulation layer or stuff sack listed.

When is the price lowest?

Only one price is recorded so far, $944.51, so there is no seasonal pattern to point to yet. Watch for markdowns in late winter and post-holiday sales.
