Our take on the CEN Racing 9001 2025 M-Sport Ford Puma Rally 1

The CEN Racing 9001 is a 1:8 ready-to-run rally car built as a licensed replica of the M-Sport Ford Puma Rally1. It comes assembled with a 2.4 GHz radio, a 3658-size brushless motor and center-shaft 4WD on an aluminum chassis, so it runs on pavement and dirt out of the box. At $449 at HeliDirect as of November 4, 2026, it sits at the top of its recent range, with only three stores listing it new.

Questions and answers

Is the CEN Racing Puma Rally1 worth $449?
It is a hobby-grade 1:8 RTR with a licensed body and brushless power, which is typical money for that class. At $449 it is at the high end of its recent range, so compare the three stores before buying.
What battery does it need?
The listing gives 7.4V for the BEC but does not state the drive battery size. Check the box contents and manual for the recommended pack and connector before ordering.
Is it really ready to run?
Yes. It ships assembled with a 2.4 GHz radio and brushless motor installed. You still need a drive battery and charger unless the store bundle says otherwise.
How does it compare with a 1:10 rally car?
At 1:8 and 2.5 kg it is larger and heavier than most 1:10 rally cars, so it handles rougher ground better but needs more room and stronger batteries. It is less convenient for small yards.
Can it run on grass and dirt?
CEN lists it for on-road and off-road use, and rally tires suit packed dirt and gravel. Deep grass and big jumps are beyond a rally setup.
When is it cheapest?
Prices move with stock at the three stores. Watch the price history and buy when a listing drops below the current $449.
Where is the CEN Racing 9001 2025 M-Sport Ford Puma Rally 1 cheapest?
At HeliDirect, for $449.00, as of our latest check.
Where can I buy the CEN Racing 9001 2025 M-Sport Ford Puma Rally 1?
