Is the Chefman Crema Supreme worth it?

It is a reasonable pick if you want a grinder and espresso machine in one unit at a lower price than separate gear. Expect to learn dosing, tamping and steaming yourself; it is not a push-button machine.

Does it use pods or ground coffee?

Both. You can brew from the built-in burr grinder with the portafilter, or use Nespresso and Cafissimo pods. It does not take K-Cups.

How long does it take to heat up?

Chefman lists a 30 to 35 second heat-up time. Give it a few extra minutes and a warming flush for the most stable shots.

Can it make lattes and cappuccinos?

Yes. The built-in steam wand froths milk for cappuccino, latte and flat white, and a milk pitcher is included. Frothing is manual, so you control the texture.

How big is it on the counter?

About 32.5 cm wide, 35 cm deep and 48.8 cm tall. Check overhead cabinet clearance before buying, since the height is the limiting dimension.

Espresso machines like this typically drop during Black Friday, Prime Day and end-of-summer sales. Check the price history chart before buying to see whether the current price is above or below its usual range.

Our take on the Chefman Crema Supreme Espresso Machine

The Chefman Crema Supreme is a semi-automatic home espresso machine with a built-in conical burr grinder, a 15-bar pump and a 3-liter removable water tank. It pulls single or double shots with adjustable volume and temperature, and the steam wand handles cappuccino, latte and flat white. It also accepts Nespresso and Cafissimo pods, so you can switch between fresh grounds and capsules. It is a large stainless-steel machine at about 35 cm deep and 49 cm tall, so measure your counter and clearance first.
