About the Chelated Iron EDTA Fertilizer 13.2% Fe
Iron chlorosis is usually a pH problem, not a missing-iron problem, so the chelate matters as much as the iron. Greenway Biotech Chelated Iron EDTA is a water-soluble powder guaranteeing 13.2% iron, all of it held by EDTA — more iron per pound than DTPA or EDDHA chelates, and the right choice for acid to mildly alkaline ground.
Use it where iron deficiency has been confirmed on vegetable, field, tree, vine and ornamental crops: broadcast, under the drip line, metered through irrigation, as a buffered foliar spray, or as the weighed iron line in a hydroponic recipe held at pH 5 to 6. The manufacturer’s directions for this 13.2% iron EDTA run 4 to 12 lb per acre for vegetable and field crops and 4 to 15 lb for trees and vines.
Measure root-zone pH first: EDTA holds only about 2.5% of its iron by pH 7.5, where Chelated Iron DTPA belongs instead. It supplies iron only and does not lower pH. Keep solutions out of light. Packaged in Madera, California in 1, 2, 5 and 25 lb sizes.
