Our take on the Chheart 15.6 in Laptop 16GB Memory 512GB SSD

The Chheart 15.6 in Laptop is a budget silver notebook with a 15.6-inch 1080p screen, 16GB of RAM, a 512GB SSD and a backlit keyboard. Its dual-core Intel CPU and integrated Intel graphics are built for everyday tasks, not heavy work. At 3.6 lb it is light for its screen size, and the 6-hour battery rating is modest. It is a low-cost, no-frills machine rather than a performance laptop.

Questions and answers

Is the Chheart 15.6 in laptop worth it?
It is worth it only if the price is low and your needs are basic: web, email, documents and video. The 16GB RAM and 512GB SSD are generous for the class, but the dual-core CPU caps performance.
Can it run games or video editing?
Only light, older games at low settings, and simple video cuts. The Intel integrated GPU and dual-core processor are not built for modern games or 4K editing.
How long does the battery last?
The rated battery life is 6 hours. Expect less with brightness up or video streaming, so plan on carrying the charger for a full day.
What ports does it have?
It lists HDMI, Mini HDMI and a 3.5 mm headphone jack. No USB-C or card reader is listed, so check before buying for those needs.
Does it come with Windows installed?
It ships with Windows OS installed. The listing does not name the exact edition, so confirm Windows 11 versus Windows 10 before you buy.
When is the best time to buy it?
Budget laptops like this usually dip during back-to-school and Black Friday sales. Compare the current price against its recent range before buying.
