Our take on the Chicology Natural Woven Light Filtering Cordless Bamboo Roman Shades 37.5 in W x 36 in L

These are cordless Roman shades made of natural woven bamboo, sized 37.5 inches wide by 36 inches long. The cordless lift is the main draw for homes with kids or pets, and the bamboo weave filters light while adding warmth to a room. At $131.86 at Walmart as of November 7, 2026, this is the only new price listed, so there is no recent range to compare it against.

Best forLiving rooms and bedrooms that need soft, filtered lightHomes with children or pets, thanks to the cordless liftBuyers who want a natural wood look without custom-order pricesWindows roughly 37.5 inches wide
Pros
  • Cordless lift is safer around kids and pets and gives a clean look
  • Woven bamboo filters glare while keeping the room bright
  • Natural tone warms up a room and suits many decor styles
  • Energy-efficient weave helps cut heat and glare at the window
Cons
  • Fixed 37.5 x 36 size fits only windows close to those dimensions
  • Bamboo slats can warp or fade in damp rooms or strong direct sun
  • Light filtering, not room darkening, so it will not block morning sun fully
  • Cordless lift can feel stiff on wide shades

Questions and answers

Is $131.86 a good price for these shades?
It is the only new price listed as of November 7, 2026, at Walmart, so there is no recent range to compare it against. Comparable bamboo Roman shades often sell for $100 to $200, so this sits in the normal band.
Will these fit my window?
They are made for a 37.5-inch-wide, 36-inch-long window. Measure your window's inside width and height before ordering, since bamboo shades cannot be trimmed much without damaging the weave.
Do they block out light?
No. They are light filtering, so they soften daylight and reduce glare but do not darken a room. Use a liner or a separate blackout shade in a bedroom.
Are they safe for a nursery?
Yes. The cordless lift removes hanging cords, which is the main safety concern with Roman shades around children and pets.
Can they go in a bathroom?
Bamboo can warp or fade with steady moisture, so they are a better fit for dry rooms like living rooms and bedrooms than for bathrooms.
Where is the Chicology Natural Woven Light Filtering Cordless Bamboo Roman Shades 37.5 in W x 36 in L cheapest?
At Walmart, for $131.86, as of our latest check.
