Our take on the Chicory Modular Outdoor Washable 9-Seater Open-Ends U-Sectional

The Chicory Modular Outdoor Washable 9-Seater Open-Ends U-Sectional is a large outdoor seating set built from nine rearrangeable chairs, with a U shape that leaves both ends open for walk-through access. Its standout feature is the patent-pending washable slipcovers and removable Frame Duvet, both machine washable, on a powder-coated steel frame with stainless steel hardware. The fabric is rated to hold color for up to 2,000 sunlight hours and has a nontoxic moisture barrier, with breathable textilene layers underneath to drain water. It suits large patios and pool decks where a living-room look matters, but it is a big, heavy-footprint purchase rather than a compact starter set.

Questions and answers

Is the Chicory 9-seater sectional worth it?
If you have the space and want one set that seats nine with washable covers, it is a strong pick. The 4.8 rating from 178 buyers suggests most owners are happy with the comfort and style.
How does it hold up to rain and sun?
The fabric is tested to keep its color for up to 2,000 sunlight hours, and breathable textilene layers drain liquid instead of trapping it. The steel frame is powder-coated with stainless hardware for corrosion resistance.
Can I really machine wash the covers?
Yes. The slipcovers and the removable Frame Duvet are machine washable, which is the main reason owners say spills and dog hair are easy to manage.
How much space does a U-sectional with open ends need?
It is a nine-seat U shape, so plan for a large patio or deck with room to walk through both open ends. Measure your space before ordering, since the pieces are bulky.
What comes in the box?
Two corner chairs and seven armless chairs, each with frame, duvet and cover, plus nine seat cushions and eleven back pillows with inserts and covers.
When is the best time to buy it?
Outdoor furniture tends to drop in price at the end of summer and around major holiday sales. Check the price history before buying to see whether the current price is above or below its recent range.
