Questions and answers

Is the CLC 1578 worth buying?
If you carry a moderate set of hand tools and want quick open-top access, it is a reasonable buy at $54.38 at Walmart as of November 4, 2026. Skip it if you need weather protection or a lockable lid.
How does it compare with a hard tool box?
The soft bag is lighter and has far more pockets, but a hard box protects tools from rain, dust and impacts. Choose the CLC for organization and portability, a hard box for durability.
What are the dimensions?
It measures 14 inches long and 11 inches wide. That fits screwdrivers, pliers, wrenches and a drill, but not long levels or framing hammers.
Does it have a shoulder strap?
Yes. It comes with a padded adjustable shoulder strap, plus a metal handle with a molded foam grip.
Can I change the inside layout?
Yes. A removable metal frame partition lets you open up the main compartment or divide it to suit your tools.
When is the best time to buy it?
Tool bags tend to dip during fall and holiday tool promotions. At $54.38 at Walmart as of November 4, 2026, it is already near the low end of its recent range.
