Why 0.9 mm Matters
Most big-box store panels are 0.8 mm or thinner PVC, which can become brittle and crack in PNW winters. The extra thickness provides superior impact resistance and structural rigidity, holding up against heavy rain, wind, and light snow loads without warping.
Common Uses
• Greenhouse roofing
• Patio and carport covers
• Skylights integrated into corrugated metal roofs
• Barn and shop daylighting panels
• Pool and outdoor enclosures
Installation Notes
• Pre-drill clearance holes ~10% larger than screw diameter (approx. 3/8 in) to allow for thermal expansion.
• Fasten through the crest of the rib, not the valley, for a proper weather seal.
• Space fasteners every 12–24 in along purlins. Do not overtighten.
• Cut with a fine-toothed circular saw or jigsaw with metal-cutting blade. Keep protective film on until finished.
