Is the ZipCore XL worth it for a mid-handicapper?

Yes, if you want forgiveness and height over feel and workability. The XL is aimed squarely at players who want straighter, longer shots with less penalty on mishits.

How does it compare to the previous ZipCore irons?

The XL pushes further toward game improvement: more forgiveness, higher launch and more distance in the long irons. Players wanting shot-shaping should look at Cleveland's players-style irons instead.

Should I pick steel or graphite shafts?

The KBS Tour Lite steel is 110g and the UST Mamiya Helium Nanocore graphite is 65g. Slower swing speeds and players with joint issues usually do better with the lighter graphite.

What is included in the set?

The listed set includes 4, 5, 6 and 7 irons plus a 54° sand wedge. Confirm the exact club mix with the seller, since iron sets are often sold in different configurations.

What does the half-inch-shorter accuracy build mean?

The shafts are half an inch shorter than standard, which can improve control and centered contact. Taller players or those used to standard length should test it first.

When is the price lowest?

Iron sets like this typically drop during end-of-season clearance and new-model launches. Check the price history on this page before buying.
