Questions and answers

Is the Clorox Medium Room Air Purifier worth it?
At $126.94 at Walmart as of November 5, 2026, it is a low-cost way to get HEPA filtration and odor control. It suits a bedroom or living room better than a large open floor plan.
What size room does it really handle?
Clorox rates it for up to 1,000 square feet, but the 160 CADR is better matched to a medium room. Expect slower cleaning in large open spaces.
How loud is it?
Low speed is quiet enough for a bedroom. High speed is noticeably loud, so most owners run it on low or medium.
Does it remove odors or only particles?
It has an odor-absorbing stage in addition to the HEPA filter, so it targets smoke, cooking and pet smells as well as dust and pollen.
How often do filters need replacing?
Clorox generally recommends replacing the HEPA filter roughly every 6 to 12 months depending on use. Factor filter cost into the total price.
Is it Energy Star certified?
Yes. It is Energy Star rated, so running it continuously on low speed adds little to your power bill.
Where is the Clorox Medium Room Air Purifier cheapest?
At Walmart, for $126.94, as of our latest check.
