How large a room will it handle?

Panasonic rates it for about 52 m², roughly 560 sq ft. That suits a large living room or open-plan area; a whole floor will need more than one unit.

How often do the filters need changing?

Both the HEPA filter (F-ZXTP70Z) and the deodorizing filter (F-ZXTD70Z) are rated for two years. Budget for both as a recurring cost.

What is nanoe X and does it matter?

It is Panasonic's name for charged hydroxyl radicals, advertised at up to 4.8 trillion per second. Treat it as a supplement to the HEPA and deodorizing filters, not a replacement for them.

Does it have an auto mode?

Yes. It runs in manual or auto mode, with low, medium and high fan speeds. Auto mode adjusts the fan without you changing settings.

What comes in the box?

Expect the purifier body with the HEPA and deodorizing filters fitted. Confirm filter inclusion and warranty terms with the seller before ordering.
