Is the Coast Origin EDC LX532 worth $37.90?

At $37.90 at eBay as of November 5, 2026, it is a fair price for a 9Cr18MoV frame-lock folder with a coated blade and a belt holster. Comparable budget folders often cost $30 to $50, so this sits in line with the market.

How does it compare with the Coast DX series?

The Origin EDC uses a frame lock and 9Cr18MoV steel, while many Coast DX knives use a liner lock and lower-grade steel. The Origin is the lighter, more premium-feeling option for everyday carry.

What is the blade length and weight?

The blade is 8.51 cm (about 3.35 inches) and the whole knife weighs 2.6 oz. Closed length is 4.5 inches, so it fits most pockets.

Does it come with a holster?

Yes. The box includes a horizontal belt holster for hip carry, along with the pocket clip already on the handle.

Is the blade steel good for everyday use?

9Cr18MoV is a Chinese stainless steel similar to 440C. It takes a sharp edge, resists rust reasonably well and is easy to sharpen, though it will not hold an edge as long as premium steels like S30V.

When is the best time to buy it?

The current $37.90 at eBay as of November 5, 2026 is already near the low end of its recent range. Watch for holiday sales, when budget knives often drop a few dollars.
