Our take on the Cobizi 4/6/8 Person Waterproof Camping Tent with Rainfly

The Cobizi is a one-room dome-style camping tent rated for up to 6 people, with a rainfly and a listed footprint of about 9.8 x 8.5 ft and 6.1 ft of peak height. It is a three-season tent aimed at family and car camping rather than backpacking. At $69.96 at Walmart as of November 3, 2026, it sits at the low end of what a tent this size costs, and only one store is listing it new, so there is no price competition to shop around.

Best forFamilies and car campers who want a cheap large tentFair-weather spring-to-fall tripsCasual beach and festival camping
Pros
  • Low price for a 6-person tent
  • Rainfly included
  • 6.1 ft peak height lets most adults stand or crouch comfortably
  • Packs into one room, simple to pitch
  • Works for car camping, beach trips and family outings
Cons
  • 3.5 out of 5 from 22 ratings is middling
  • Single room and one door, so no privacy divider
  • Not a true 6-person fit for adults with gear; realistically 4 adults plus bags
  • Three-season only, not built for winter or heavy snow
  • Only one store lists it new, so no price comparison

Questions and answers

Is the Cobizi tent actually waterproof?
It ships with a rainfly and is marketed as waterproof, but at this price the coating and seams are basic. Seal the seams and use the rainfly in steady rain, and do not expect it to hold up to a storm like a premium tent.
Does it really sleep 6 people?
Six adults fit only wall-to-wall with no gear. For real comfort, plan on 4 adults with bags, or a family with kids.
Is it good for winter camping?
No. It is a three-season tent for spring, summer and fall. It is not designed for snow load or freezing nights.
What is included in the box?
The tent, the rainfly and the poles and stakes needed to pitch it. Check the listing for the exact stake count before you rely on it.
Is $69.96 a good price?
It is a low price for a 6-person tent with a rainfly, and only one store lists it new as of November 3, 2026, so there is no cheaper competing offer to wait for. The trade-off is budget materials.
Can I stand up inside it?
Peak height is listed at 6.1 ft, so most adults can stand at the center. Headroom drops quickly toward the walls.
Where is the Cobizi 4/6/8 Person Waterproof Camping Tent with Rainfly cheapest?
At Walmart, for $69.96, as of our latest check.
What do buyers say about the Cobizi 4/6/8 Person Waterproof Camping Tent with Rainfly?
Rated 3.5 out of 5 from 22 ratings.
