Questions and answers

Is the Cole & Mason electric mill set worth it at $45?
At $45.00 at eBay as of November 4, 2026, it is a reasonable price for a rechargeable two-mill set with ceramic burrs. Manual mills cost less but need two hands. If you grind at the table daily, the button control is the main payoff.
How long does the charge last?
Cole & Mason rates these mills for weeks of typical table use per charge, and they recharge by USB rather than disposable batteries. Heavy daily cooking drains them faster. Keep the charging cable handy and top up before a big meal.
Can I use it for other spices?
The set is built for salt and pepper, and the ceramic mechanism handles both without rusting. Coarse sea salt and whole peppercorns work best. Very oily or damp spices can clog the burrs.
How do I change the grind size?
Turn the adjustment dial at the base of each mill to move between fine and coarse. The setting holds while you grind. Adjust with the mill off so you can feel the click stops.
Can I put the mills in the dishwasher?
No. The body is stainless steel and ABS, and the mills are hand wash only with a damp cloth. Do not submerge them, because water can reach the motor and battery.
What is in the box?
You get one pepper mill and one salt mill, both rechargeable. Check the listing for whether a charging cable is included, since some bundles ship without one.
Where is the Cole & Mason Rechargeable Electric Salt and Pepper Mill Set cheapest?
At eBay, for $45.00, as of our latest check.
Where can I buy the Cole & Mason Rechargeable Electric Salt and Pepper Mill Set?
4 stores we checked sell it, including Poshmark, eBay, Macy's, Walmart.
