Our take on the Colibri Quasar Metal Alloy Cigar Ashtray

The Colibri Quasar is a rectangular metal-alloy cigar ashtray in a black Art Deco finish, built as a heavy table piece at 4.7 lbs. Its weight and wide rests suit indoor smoking areas where a lighter tray would slide or tip. The best new price is $119.99 at eBay as of November 7, 2026, with four stores listing it new. That is a mid-to-upper price for a designer ashtray, so compare it against plain metal trays before buying.

Pros
  • Heavy 4.7 lb metal body resists tipping and sliding
  • Rectangular shape with multiple cigar rests
  • Black Art Deco finish suits dark wood and leather rooms
  • No lid, so ash and resting cigars stay visible and easy to reach
  • Colibri is an established name in cigar accessories
Cons
  • At 4.7 lbs it is not portable; it stays on one table
  • No lid means ash can blow around outdoors or near a fan
  • Metal can show scratches and fingerprints on the black finish
  • Premium price for an ashtray at $119.99

Questions and answers

Is the Colibri Quasar ashtray worth $119.99?
It is a heavy, branded metal tray, so you are paying for build and looks more than function. If you want a stable indoor piece that matches your decor, it is reasonable. A plain metal ashtray does the same job for far less.
How many cigars does it hold?
It is a rectangular multi-rest tray, so several cigars can sit at once between smokes. It is sized for a table or lounge setting, not for carrying.
Can I use it outdoors?
It works on a patio table, but the open, lidless top lets wind scatter ash. The 4.7 lb weight keeps it from blowing over.
How do I clean it?
Empty the ash, then wipe the metal with a damp cloth and dry it. Avoid abrasive pads, which can dull the black finish.
When is the price lowest?
The best new price seen is $119.99 at eBay as of November 7, 2026. Cigar accessories often dip during holiday sales, so check the price history before buying.
Where is the Colibri Quasar Metal Alloy Cigar Ashtray cheapest?
At eBay, for $119.99, 38% under what the other stores charge, as of our latest check.
