Is the Compact Pro worth the premium over a basic whitening light?

You pay extra for the cordless design, the charging case with UV sanitizing, and the built-in red/blue desensitizing stage. If you only whiten at home occasionally, a cheaper light may do; frequent travelers get more from the case and timer.

How long does a charge last?

The case brings the light to full charge in about 2 hours; the indicator flashes red while charging and turns solid green when done. Banana White does not state how many sessions one charge covers.

How much gel comes with it, and can I use other gels?

The box includes one 10 ml mega tube of Banana White whitening gel. The brand does not say whether third-party gels are compatible, so stick with its own refills.

Does it really whiten in one use?

Banana White claims 1 to 2 shades whiter after each use. That is a brand claim, not an independent test, and results vary with your starting shade and how consistently you use it.

The Compact Pro whitening light, the charging case, and one 10 ml tube of whitening gel. No extra gel tubes or travel pouch are listed.

When is the best time to buy it?

Whitening lights usually see discounts around major sales events and holidays. Check the price history on this page before buying so you know whether the current price is high or low for this model.

Our take on the Compact Pro

The Banana White Compact Pro is a cordless LED teeth-whitening light with a built-in two-stage timer: 15 minutes of blue light for whitening, then 10 minutes of red/blue light meant to calm teeth and gums. It ships with a charging case that also runs a 5-minute UV sanitizing cycle, and one 10 ml tube of whitening gel. It is the travel-friendly step up in Banana White's lineup, so expect to pay more than for the brand's basic light.
